When should you buy it?
General guidance for beginners, not a pro build
Fortress Shield: For each enemy hero within 5 units, Hybrid Defense is increased by 8, up to 40.
Situational: buy it when the conditions below apply
Buy it when
- The enemy has 2+ heroes with heals or shields
- 3 or more of the 5 enemies deal magic damage
- 3 or more of the 5 enemies deal physical damage
Skip it when
- The enemy has no heals or shields: this slot does more as damage or defense
- Most of the enemy's damage is physical
- Most of the enemy's damage is magic

Effects
Fortress Shield
For each enemy hero within 5 units, Hybrid Defense is increased by 8, up to 40.
Lifebane
Taking damage will reduce the Shield and HP Regen effects of the attacker to 60% of normal for 1 second.
