Support build guide
Supports keep the team going with heals, shields, or crowd control. The key: skills ready often and hard to kill.
Buy order
The usual order; adapt it to how the game goes
1. Early: boots
Magic Shoes to cast more often, or defensive boots if you're under pressure.
2. Core items
Cooldown and mana to spam skills.
3. Situational
See the table below.
4. Survive
For the late game.
What the stats mean
What to look at in the item shop
- Cooldown Reduction
- Skills come back faster. The cap is 40% (45% with Enchanted Talisman); anything over it is wasted.
- Mana
- Fuel for your skills. If you keep running dry, pick an item that restores mana.
- HP
- Health. Helps against every kind of damage.
- Physical / Magic Defense
- Reduces that kind of damage. Match it to the enemy's main damage type.
Read the enemy lineup
The enemy has this → buy this
Your hero heals or shields allies
Stronger heals, plus a shield for allies on low HP.
The enemy has 2+ heroes with heals or shields
Cuts the enemy's healing and shields.
You keep running out of mana
Mana regen and cooldown reduction.
Tips
- Stick with whoever needs help most, usually the marksman or jungler.
- Save your rescue skill for when the enemy dives in.
