General guidance for beginners, not a pro build
Dragon Scale: Every 1% Lifesteal increases Hybrid Defense by 1, up to 50 (effect is halved for non-Fighter heroes).
Defensive item: usually item 5 or 6, or earlier if you keep dying
Buy it when
- You often die first in team fights
- You need sustain in lane or in long fights

When taking damage that reduces HP below 30%, gains a (120*Hero Level) shield (increases with level) and 50% Movement Speed that rapidly decays over 3 seconds. This effect has a 60 seconds cooldown.
