Assassins take down squishy heroes fast. The key: big burst damage and the mobility to get in and back out.
Buy order
The usual order; adapt it to how the game goes

Boots and a first damage item so you can help other lanes from the start.
2. Core items
Lots of physical attack and penetration.
3. Situational

4. Survive
Once the enemy starts focusing you.
What the stats mean
What to look at in the item shop
- Physical Attack
- Raises basic attack and physical skill damage.
- Attack Speed
- Faster basic attacks. Key for marksmen.
- Crit
- Chance for a basic attack to deal much more damage.
- Physical Penetration
- Ignores part of the enemy's physical defense; key against tanks.
- Lifesteal
- Basic attack damage heals you.
Read the enemy lineup
The enemy has this → buy this
The enemy has 2+ heroes with heals or shields
Cuts the enemy's healing and shields.
The enemy stacks physical defense
Big physical penetration.
The enemy has lots of crowd control
Shorter CC duration.
Tips
- Hunt the enemy marksman and mage, not the tank.
- Go in after the enemy has used their CC skills.
